Common questions
A court near me is missing. How do I add it?
On the map, tap the add button and choose Add court. Drop the pin, name it, and fill in what you know — indoor or outdoor, hoops, lights, surface. It appears on the map right away and we check it within a day or two. Most of the map came from OpenStreetMap, so gaps are usually newer courts or ones behind a school gate.
A court's details are wrong, or it doesn't exist any more.
Open the court, tap the menu, and choose Report a problem. You can fix the details yourself, or flag the court as gone. Removals get a human look first, so nothing disappears off the map on a single report.
Why does the app want my location?
It's approximate, and only while the app is open, so the map opens where you are and courts sort by distance. Decline and the app still works — you search by city instead. There's no background tracking and no location history.
How do I turn notifications off?
Profile → Settings → Notifications. Game reminders, RSVP changes and chat replies are switchable separately, so you can keep the day-before nudge and mute everything else.
How do I delete my account?
Profile → Settings → Delete account, or email us from the address on the account. The delete account page lists exactly what goes and what stays.
Can I reserve a public court?
No. Halfcourt is a facilitator — it has no authority over booking courts or reserving public spaces. Posting a run tells other players where and when you'll be there; it doesn't hold the court for you. If a park or facility takes bookings, that's still arranged with them directly.
